Study on System Coupling Interaction of Large-Scale Construction Companies Programme Contracting and

Feng Guo,Tian Huang

Frontiers of Engineering Management 2015, Volume 2, Issue 2,   Pages 137-140 doi: 10.15302/J-FEM-2015022

Abstract: Constant changes in the construction market have resulted in individual projects being challenged to meet the long-term growth needs of large construction companies. Change should be based on the construction of this new model project group, to achieve better interaction, and to allow for a more rapid enterprise development. This paper is based on the system coupling analysis of large-scale construction enterprises and construction projects. A clear system presents itself and forms the basis of the system construction, institutional change and mechanism of the path between base construction projects and business growth.

Strategic Study of CAE 2003, Volume 5, Issue 7,   Pages 1-10

Abstract:

The urban environmental security becomes a new hot spot of environmental problems at present. The environmental security is raised in correspondance with the environmental calamity. This article puts forwad urban environmental security and the preparatory scheme for heavy environmental disaster rescue for Beijing based on analysis of some insecurity environmental factors of Beijing. The research contents include: The Beijing urban environmental security; The environmental disaster comprehensive zoning in Beijing; The information system supporting the management and decision about environmental disaster; The rescue and prevention scheme of urban meterological disaster; The forest fire prevention of Beijing by GIS technology; The cause and prevention strategy of dust storm; The health security and epidemic prevention in Beijing; The study of earthquake disaster prevention; Transform, perfection and construction of urban lifeline system engineering; The rescue scheme for serious environmental disaster; The effect of environmental disaster on urban economic development in Beijing.

Scheme comparison of Qiongzhou strait railway tunnel

Tan Zhongsheng,Wang Mengshu,Luo Shixiang

Strategic Study of CAE 2009, Volume 11, Issue 7,   Pages 39-44

Abstract:

The construction of the Qiongzhou strait tunnel will not only meet the requirements of the straits' passenger and cargo traffic, but also the needs of national defense, and the constructed tunnel will play a huge pulling role in Hainan´s economic development.Comparing with the similar projects abroad, the preliminary work of Qiongzhou strait tunnel was very urgent and needed a long time, because of enormous workload of research, complex technology and difficulties. Based on the study of meteorological, hydrological, geological data and other information of Qiongzhou strait tunnel, the bridge and tunnel schemes are simply compared, which indicate that the tunnel scheme is suitable, moreover, the shield tunnel scheme for line Ⅱ is better than others. After compared the shallow tunnel with deep tunnel schemes of line Ⅱ, the shallow tunnel using shield method scheme is proposed. As highway tunnel had many technical problems, and project costs and operating costs are very high, therefore, the railway tunnel plan as the preferred option is feasible, and cars could pass through the tunnel by shuttle trains.

How does the improved DB mode degrade the complex integrity of infrastructure mega-projects? Evidence from the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge project in China

Jinwen ZHANG, Yumin QIU

Frontiers of Engineering Management 2018, Volume 5, Issue 1,   Pages 40-51 doi: 10.15302/J-FEM-2018083

Abstract: Complex integrity is one of the main characteristics of infrastructure mega-projects (IMPs). Cost, technology, risk, duration, environmental impact, and other uncertain complexities are interrelated and constitute a challenging and complex management problem. At present, there is no unified understanding of or solutions to these complex integrity problems. This study analyzes the complex integrity of the island-tunnel subproject of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB) project and proposes an improved design-build (DB) mode in which the owner provides a preliminary design and has the right to form and manage consortium. This improved DB mode creatively degrades the special complexities that arise from multiple dimensions. On this basis, it is an efficacious way to grasp the main contradictions, integrate the effective resources, and degrade the complex integrity in multiple dimensions and at multiple levels so as to effectively deal with the complexity management of IMPs.

negotiation model for ubiquitous group decision scenarios Project supported by the COMPETE Programme

João CARNEIRO,Diogo MARTINHO,Goreti MARREIROS,Paulo NOVAIS

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2016, Volume 17, Issue 4,   Pages 296-308 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1500344

Abstract: Supporting group decision-making in ubiquitous contexts is a complex task that must deal with a large amount of factors to succeed. Here we propose an approach for an intelligent negotiation model to support the group decision-making process specifically designed for ubiquitous contexts. Our approach can be used by researchers that intend to include arguments, complex algorithms, and agents’ modeling in a negotiation model. It uses a social networking logic due to the type of communication employed by the agents and it intends to support the ubiquitous group decision-making process in a similar way to the real process, which simultaneously preserves the amount and quality of intelligence generated in face-to-face meetings. We propose a new look into this problem by considering and defining strategies to deal with important points such as the type of attributes in the multicriterion problems, agents’ reasoning, and intelligent dialogues.
